Current Courses
Graphic Design
Students enrolled in this course will create original pieces of digital art while learning the core concepts of graphic design. Students start class by sketching their ideas, then translate their designs using Google Drawings. By the end of this course, students will have a firm grasp of concepts such as coordinates & positioning, editing tools, and managing drawing objects.
Planes & Catapults
Launch your career in … launching. Learn to design and build your own planes and catapults in this hands-on course. You will build working prototypes and compete with your friends to see who can go the distance.
Movie Makers
Four weeks, four mini-movies. In this course you’ll learn the basics of planning, filming, and editing your own short movies. You’ll build storyboards, learn about camera movements and angles, and put your movies together to share with friends and family.
Intro to Coding:
The Superhero Code
Learn the core concepts of coding by building your own interactive superhero inside Scratch. You’ll dream up your character and use code to enable their superpowers and weaknesses. Along the way you will learn about logic, variables, loops, and more.
Web Design
Make your voice heard and connect with your peers by learning how to design great websites. Students enrolled in this course will use their Google Apps for Education accounts to plan, design, build, and update their own personal website.
Podcasting 101
Have a story to share? A hobby or passion the world needs to know about? Learn the basics of podcasting and share your voice with the world. In this class you will learn the basics of audio engineering and how to outline your ideas to connect with an audience.
